Agitu – Unbroken Dreams

Feature film, drama, biopic, Nature, existential

In partnership with Francesca Capra

Current status: treatment

Logline: A woman. A dream. A legacy that crosses borders.

Pitch: From the heart of Ethiopia to the valleys of Trentino, Italy, Agitu – Unbroken Dreams narrates the life of Agitu Ideo Gudeta: environmental activist, farming entrepreneur, a symbol of freedom and resilience. After fleeing her country to avoid imprisonment and torture, Agitu takes roots in Italy and, on her own, establishes a sustainable business and a common dream. Her rise collides with a hostile and male-dominated environment. Even if we dug deeply into reality, this is a fictional biographical project, where the landscape becomes a silent ally in the bravest challenges. Agitu is a gentle force able to transform her motherland, and the country that welcomed her. Her name still speaks of justice, Nature, and freedom.

In Heaven, God calls Earl, Abby’s guardian angel, and considering his indifference to his own charge, she gives him a final demand (yes, God’s a woman): either he makes Abby love her life again, or he will lose his angel status. In order to do it, Earl asks God to employ his special methods again, the ones she banned him to use a long time ago. After revealing himself to Abby, Earl gives his charge temporary immortality – as she’s willing to commit suicide again – and makes a plan so that she can start over exactly when everything began to tumble down in her life, i.e., get back to grad school.
